Privacy policy

Your data stays yours.

LAST UPDATED · 28 JULY 2026

1 · Overview

Ventra is a training, nutrition and recovery tracker. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Ventra iOS app and this website.

2 · What we collect

Data you enter yourself: workouts and sets, food and drink logs, body weight and measurements, recovery check-ins, and your goals and targets. That's it — there's no account to create and no email address collected, because everything stays on your device.

3 · Camera

Ventra requests camera access solely to scan food barcodes when logging meals. Camera images are processed on-device and are never stored or transmitted anywhere.

4 · How your data is used

To display your logs and history, and to calculate trends, scores and insights — all directly on your device. Apple handles your subscription billing entirely; we never see your payment details. That is the whole list.

5 · Storage & security

Your data is stored only on your device, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. We don't run any servers that hold your personal data, so there's nothing of yours stored anywhere but your phone.

6 · Third parties

When you scan a barcode or search for food, Ventra sends the search term to Open Food Facts, a free, open, non-profit food database, to retrieve nutrition information — no personal or account information is included in these requests. Apple handles all payments and subscription billing — we never see your card details. We do not sell personal data and we do not run any ad tracking or analytics of any kind.

7 · Your rights

Because all your data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes your data — there's nothing stored elsewhere for us to remove on your behalf. If you have any questions, email us and we'll respond promptly.

8 · Children

Ventra is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9 · Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date, and significant changes will be flagged in the app.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Through your Apple ID subscription settings — the trial ends without charge if you cancel before day 21.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your device. Ventra has no accounts and no cloud sync, so your data never leaves your phone.

Does Ventra work offline?

Yes, for everything except scanning barcodes and searching for food, which need a connection to look up nutrition info.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iOS first — Android is on the roadmap.
